Since the inception of Boomerz Boxing Club in 2007, Lawrence poured his heart and soul into creating a haven where at-risk youth could find solace, discipline, and guidance within the noble art of boxing. Lawrence Boom was more than just a coach; he was a beacon of hope, a pillar of support for those in need. Inspired by Lawrence's unwavering commitment to making a difference, our team embarked on a journey to carry forward his legacy, one punch at a time.
Participating in events like the Fight to End Homelessness Charity Boxing Event in London, Ontario, was more than just a tribute to Lawrence—it was a testament to his enduring influence. Raising almost a million dollars for Youth Opportunities Unlimited, we felt his presence guiding us every step of the way. It was a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his life to serving others, ensuring that his legacy of compassion and kindness lives on.
For Marc, Abdul, and Matt Boom, the dream of reviving Boomerz Boxing wasn't just about continuing a family legacy; it was about honoring the legacy of Lawrence Boom. They felt a deep sense of responsibility to carry forward his vision, to uplift and empower the community through the teachings of the sweet science.
